Subject: tube feeder question

Northeast, NE

I am trying to find a way to feed lactating sows outside ad-lib. I don't want a lot of feed on the ground and am worried about rodents if I used ased a self feeder. Plus I am not aware of too many self feeders that would accommodate big sows. Would a tube feeder work or would the sows freeze to it in the winter? I would not hook up the water just the feed during the winter. The feeders would be under cover yet still outside.

An other ideas for feeding sows outside?

Thanks for letting me borrow your picture FX4.
