Texas/New Mexico Stateline | Wife has been reading "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" to the kids, and when they read about the turkish delight, we all got to wondering what it was, and what it was like. So since you can find anything on the internet, she found a recipe and made some. Hers turned out like a very sweet and citrus-y jello jiggers. It is good.
Also our oldest just turned 11 years old, and I can't believe it. So far she still likes her daddy, maybe I have a couple more years before I become dumb as a brick and completely unreasonable. We were going to have a party this weekend, but with the weather all yucky, nobody wanted to get out. Her grandma (my mom) brought cupcakes to church the other evening for her on her actual birthday, so she had fun, and she said she had a good birthday and meant it. And my mom made a VERY nice quilted throw for her, we had no idea she had been working on it.
