| We are demoing a TMR to feed beef cow calves with and have a couple questions. First how many pounds per day of an alfalfa mixed with less quality hay should you be feeding per head per day. Another question is what would be a good ration to feed these cows on. Right now we are just mixing a bale of alfalfa and a bale or two of low quality grass. Im not sure of when it gets cold if this combo will have enough energy. If we decide that it is something we are going to bite the bullet and buy then we would probably look at adding wet cake or something. | |
