Subject: Update on starting mums from cuttings.

I think I asked about this earlier this spring ?

Had some success starting mums from individual cuttings. Had quite a few started earlier and most of them made it and thrived. A later batch only a couple out of a tray full survived. Not sure if it was a timing issue or just a matter of luck.

I gave most of them away to my sister and niece to start in their flower beds.

Here is a pic my sister sent me of one of hers.

Here is the bed of them that I have expanded from breaking apart 1 established plant. Seems they need broke apart and divided every 2-3 years to keep them thrifty and going.

Here is one I started from a cutting this spring.

The small one on the left is a start from a cutting the one on the right is a start from a divided larger plant this spring.
