Central IA | I was looking at my credit report (I don't do this nearly enough) this evening and I had noticed that I had had a hard pull on my credit report from a retailer that I do a small amount of business with (some 2,4,D for fence rows, a little bit of liquid nitrogen for sidedressing). I would have had a small, current balance at the time it showed it was initiated, but I was never asked by them to do this, nor was I trying to obtain any financing from them. They have a standard net 30 term that my purchases would have been on through my cash account. This company has financing that they love to push, and I used it once to take advantage of a seed deal about 3 years ago, but any balance would have been cleared long, long ago. I always thought my banker had to have permission from me to do this? Did they overstep here, or am I just outdated in my expectations? | |
