Southeast Colorado | Piles of last year's crop still on the ground......this year's wheat on the ground......prospects (basically a guaranteed crop at this point) well above average for both new crops of corn and milo.....basis at historically low levels for this time of year.......but better than old crop levels at this moment. With all of these facts known right now.....wouldn't I be stupid not to be locking right now? If National yield forecasts are overstated then that's going to show up on the futures board and those gains (or losses) can still be realized anyway. Does anyone else see this opportunity or am I missing something?? | |
