Mid-Missouri | So my wife is warming up the Green Mountain Grill (pellet style) for hamburgers. She calls to say supper will be ready soon but the grill is extremely hot, smoking, and flaming inside. I was a minute from being home so I said to turn the temp down and I would look at it. By time I pull up, she found a rag to help raise the lid without being burned. She can't figure out what kind of animal nest is in the grill and how it got there.
I had to laugh because I knew right away what the problem was. We adopted 16 kittens someone left on a field road of ours. For awhile, I was keeping the cat food in random places but animals would get into it. I soon discovered the grill made a great secure place to keep the food.
Sooooo, don't keep cat food in the bbq grill, and always look in it before pre-heating it (-:
And, how do you recommend cleaning out the toxins from the bag that burnt? It was kind of a nylon style food bag.
