Subject: Corn Head with Stalk Stompers vs Header Cart Issues

Ossian, IN
We've always had a homemade header cart used only for putting the header inside the barn. We have a JD 643 6 row with stalk stompers, and we've always had to take the springs out to be able to put it on the cart. We are going to add a set of stompers to the head to knock down another row as well, and the issue we are seeing is that we won't even be able to put it on with the outer stompers. On a true factory built header cart, is that ever an issue, or with the correct brackets, does it sit the header high enough to not hit?
