Texas/New Mexico Stateline | ....check. Legos, Lincoln logs, remote controlled cars, baseball equipment, water guns, Thomas the Tank Engine train sets, stuffed animals, puzzles, art kits, toy tractors, trucks, Nerf guns, hula hoops, jump ropes, dress up sets, on and on and on. The last few days the most popular toy has been...... . . . . ... .. . . . . . ..... . . . . ...... pinto beans and cardboard boxes. I try to explain this to the extended family each Christmas and birthday, that one small toy is sufficient, because they won't play with it anyway. But nobody listens. It is shameful how much toys and puzzles and junk we have hauled to Goodwill that was barely played with. Just so we could make room for more toys that won't be played with. Just shows that it isn't that expensive to entertain kids. They will always find a way to play with things if you'll just leave them to themselves. |
