Subject: Q for the Trimble experts re a JD R4023 Sprayer

QLD - Australia
Has anyone ever put autopilot on these - I am running into some issues. The normal R4000 kit won't fit this machine - the manual over ride cable would be fine but the valve cable is different. It uses the same steering coil as the old 7x30 tractors etc

Here's what I have done.

Used a valve cable from the 7x30 series - p/n 57536
made a fitting to go into the load sense of the orbitrol that takes a standard pressure transducer, and used a standard manual over ride cable - p/n 54618
loaded a profile for a 4920 as a starting point, changed the tap for the manual over ride and the voltage for it.

Manual over ride works fine - confirmed in the AP diagnostic screen.

My issue is that when I go to do the dead zone calibrations - I get no steering response.

I am guessing it is something in the profile about the steering valve but am unsure. I have tried other profiles including the 7x30 tractor one just to see if I could get some response. Nothing seems to be working.

Would appreciate any help

Thanks Andrew.
