Subject: No-till stubble/big rain event

Nc Ks.
Got 3.5 in. rain in a short period last night. The wheat stubble and soybean stubble that wasn't attached filled culverts and ditches to the extent that the county had road graders clearing the roads in places. My uncle and I were talking about it this afternoon and he commented that maybe it would be better to work it lightly once in the fall to slightly incorporate the stubble. Maybe it would wash off so much when you get a toad strangler like we got last night. I'm thinking that might not be a bad idea. Opinions?
