The blue was Uncle's old set-a-side program which took acres out of production to summer fallow.
Look at 1983, a drought year, then poof Uncle lets us plant roughly 50 ma MORE in 84
So we had very good price in 83 because of the drought, that did not last long.
Another "Short Crop Long Tail" year think Uncle had just mite have been pulling the bulls tail down.
Same deal in 1980 and again in 1988, can we say Uncle used us as a pawns for cheap food prices ? ? ?
