Subject: JD 2305 hydraulic level

Hey guys, i've been having some trouble with the loader bucket on my 2305 not tipping down (cylinders extend) and i think its because its not getting enough oil. If i hold the lever it take a few seconds and then it will tip.

I can verify how much oil is in the tractor via the sight glass on the back of the machine. But, that level changes dramatically depending on the position of the loader bucket. Now, i've tried adding oil and haven't fixed the problem but i also don't want to over fill the machine. Is there a proper way of determining how much oil should be in the machine? The manual for the tractor only refers to the tractor, and the manual for the loader does not refer to what the oil level should be.
