Ridgway, IL | Had a cousin getting married in LA last week, and I was in need of a little time off. I decided to drive. Was nearly 4600 miles over 7 days, seeing a lot of new to me territory. I drove out through Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico and Arizona. Returned through Nevada, Utah, Colorado and Nebraska. Was somthing that I've always wanted to do. I did make a couple cattle related stops... 1 in Amarillo visiting with some mutual friends at cactus feeders... Then again in eastern Nebraska looking at some cattle yards with a fellow from Tyson. Had planned another day with Tyson, but I was ready to get home... Sorry, no cattle pics but a few of the changing scenery.
I also spent a day and a half in the San Joaquin valley in California. Very dense agriculture there. We have a big extended family and friends all over so I only needed to stay in a hotel 1 night. I'm well rested and happy to be back feeding cattle this am.
