North Missouri. Dealer is low overhead, older facilities.

Local independent fertilizer dealer gave me these retail prices today;

$310 Urea

$420 DAP

$425 MAP

$320 Potash

Urea $400 133 over river
AMS $342
elem sulfur .45 per pound.

Yeah there are plenty of guys you can find to truck it to you. doesn't take long to pay for older gravity boxes to put the fertilizer on wheels and shuffle it around compared to overpaying for it. The 2-3 percent dividend you get at the end of the year doesn't even come close to how you can save money.

Go ahead and flame the coop, but just remember the process it takes
-they have the trucking
- unload from truck into bin
- let the product sit in the bin
- pull the product out of the bin with end-loader to put it in blender
- going through the blender and getting weighed for your exact needs
- conveyor back into a tender truck
- tender truck and driver to get it out to your field.

None of that is free.

It's interesting how low a cost can be on the front end but when its all said and done some of these "savings" don't always add up in the end.
