Subject: When to trade combines rather than re-build?

sw ontario
Have a late model 9500 with just under 2300 sep. hrs. ,clean and looks nice but probably should have water pump changed ,all augers are original ,straw walkers getting loose, belts, tires & cylinder bars good....in the nearly 20 yrs. we have only had a few hours of in crop down time but I wonder if it should just go now before there is a $20k repair bill ..... other issue is guys post all these "cheap" combines at auctions but with our low CAD $$ there isn't many cheap ones here. Neighbor traded 2388 & 1688 & heads for 1 demo NH with 40' draper and 12 row ch and paid $500 $CAD difference.........only do 1,000 acres corn, beans, wheat so really don't want too spend $200-300k for used combine and heads $CAD ....either way will probably trade in 2 yrs. , would like a late 5088 or 5130 TIA
