Columbia Basin, Ephrata, WA | We have a little milo experiment that is our last thing left to harvest, about 10 acres. It's testing 18% when hand sampled, but seems to be very difficult to get the grains out of the heads. If you take a head and smack it on the inside wall of a 5 gallon bucket only a few seeds come out. Is that normal? I combined milo for a couple days about 15 years ago but don't remember how easy or hard it was to shatter the heads.
