WI | I want to add a large 1000 rpm pto on a 05' stx375 with the 16-speed PS. Not sure about exact parts price yet but read some previous posts of it being in the $15-20K range. Dealer is estimating $4-5K in labor for the install. If I go with the dealer route I will have them install a new 16' Grouser blade on it the same time while it is in the shop. Will be used for packing silage and 5000gal. manure spreader use, possibly pulling a tile plow also.
Has anyone done this recently in their own shop or am I better off having a CNH dealer install it especially if it comes with some type of warranty? I don't have much for specialty tools besides those used for services and minor repairs. I have 2 front-end loaders to lift anything if need be. Any idea how many hours this could take or am I getting in over my head trying to do something like this myself? | |
