I have awlays planted 2.9 beans. We can grow 3s in our area but I planted some 2.7 and 2.9 this year there is hardly any difference. Seems to me a little like maybe a half week between each other and most of them were planted the 1st week of May and the rest Memorial Day weekend and past.
