Subject: Question for central Kansas soybean growers...

Hazelton, Kansas
All,

For those of you who grow dryland soybeans in the central third of Kansas, how many bushels per acre do you think this week's hot blast (through this coming Sunday) will cost us?

Compared to having a rain a week ago, followed by moderate temperatures, I'm guessing my full season beans have lost 15-20 bushels. The double crop beans seem to be handling the blast better, but have obviously been hurt.

It's not doing the DC milo a bit of good, either...

What say you?

Regards.

MDS
