Subject: combine lodged soybeans

I have a field of soybeans that got really tall and now they are leaning over. I'm hoping that they won't go flat to the ground before we combine, but I'm not optimistic.

the beans are mostly lying one direction. Other than cutting them all one way, are there any tricks to combining this mess? Does it help to cut at an angle (beans are all in 30" rows)? I have an extra EZ steer that I would put on the combine if I thought cutting at an angle would help.....

thanks
