Wisconsin | So im stuck between a rock and a hard place. Was working on a farm for the last 6 years and loved every minute of it. I did the planting harvesting hauling and shop work in the winter. The owners decided they wanted to retire this last spring and put up everything for auction, so I was out of a job for a week. Found a job with an excavation company and am currently working there and making decent money, but I don't know much about what's going on and it discourages me and makes me not happy. Makes me feel like its just another job. The other day I was offered another job on a different farm, will be doing field work and shop work year round 40hrs a week. The guy wants me to tell him what I think I aught to have. I really like farming and I grew up on one as a kid so its in my blood.
My problem is it's 40 hrs no overtime, at least not time and a half like the excavation job. I know money isn't everything and I need to happy. But I'm just stuck on what to do, and looking for some help.
