SW Iowa, Clarinda | I have an 80 acre bottom ground field that has Mycogen 799 or 779 corn planted in it. The field looks great except for a few plants in the first 8 rows in a few distinct spots. ...the only thing I can see is maybe the surestart ponded in these locations and sent higher concentrations into the whirl of the corn stalks causing.them to be mutant. It is really weird that it is only on the outside 8 rows and only in the lowspots. ....these stalks have no ears other than leafy ears.....local Mycogen guy called it crazy top or goofy top....thankfully the rest of the field looks good. Anybody else seen this?
