Northeast Maine/Southern New Hampshire. | I have an oats question.
Long story short my neighbor has 200 acres of oats.
Had them verbally sold and the buyer now has trouble moving because of railcar problem.
My question is how dry do they need to be keep overwinter.
They are coming of combine at 14.5 to 15 percent.
They are going in a grain bin that is 30k bushels and has air fan underneath .
Right now humidity is in the 90% area.
As it is these oats are almost unsaleable in our area right now.
The idea is to store them until we figure the haulage out of here.
Thanks in advance.
