Subject: Natural Gas Irrigation engines

Southeast Florida
Well it's time for me to eat crow here, I hated natural gas engines until the damn thieves got done stealing diesel here. We built a box over the transfer pump on new tanks and welded the ends into them so they couldn't unscrew them. Guess what they just cut the lines on the fuel supply for the irrigation engines, put a small fuel pump in and fill their drums using the battery power from the engine.
Enough is enough and we're looking into natural gas engines to irrigate with now. I know CAT, Cummins and Waukesha are available. Deere use to build them. Automotive engines are out of the question for lack of hp @ 1,800 rpm's, we need around 140 hp; Our 605 IH's have all they want.

Any manufacture stick out heads above the rest? We have local CAT and Cummins dealers. I need them to be electronic controlled for variable speed with drip irrigation systems.
