CNY | Started round baling few days ago some distance from home base and tractor suddenly lost power. A code popped up so I called the dealer hoping it might just need a filter which we stock and some one could bring up. Our JD service manager (who is excellent) came on and said he would look it up. I waited and he was mumbling and grumbling in the background. He said to hold on the computer wasn't coming up. After the third time I asked if he had a book and he replied yes but it wasn't coming up. Some what irritated I said I meant a book "...you know? Paper and ink". He said no but he would call me back as soon as... Meanwhile I headed home and called in another tractor to switch off and get baling. Good thing because it turned out to be an injector. You'd think they would have a hard copy but I guess today it would take up a lot of space to store them all and time to keep them organized.
Yeah I should have had my manual but that code wasn't in there anyway. | |
