Subject: 18v. cordless Dewalt batteries revisited

Bought expensive replacement batteries at Bomgaars a few years ago. Think some of the old originals are in better shape than they are these days,,,none of which is good.

Has been said to replace batteries inside the pacs yourself or take to Battery's plus. They wanted as much as replacements.

Was cruising e-pay last night and made a discovery. There are 1500 rated batteries in 18v. 2000 rated ones,,,and 3000 a?? rated ones. Guessing the 3000 to be twice capacity of 1500.

Plus can buy a couple for 60-70 bucks free ship vs dont know but must be low side at Bomgaars for $100 or better a pair "IF" you catch them on sale which isnt very often.

So can someone tell me if there is indeed twice the power in a 3k vs 1500??

Also related need another charger to keep up with rotation,,,are their differences in those? Best place to find them? Would think garage sales or craigs list but dont see much there.
