Floyd County, Iowa | In the post below, you have a pic of little girl (granddaughter?) on a "tire" swing.
We bought one similar to that last year for the grandkids, and the love it. Only problem is that it won't swing unless I'm pushing it.
Yours shows 2 ropes going up from it, one in front and one in back. Ours is similar, but the ropes go to a single spreader bar, and that's got a hook in the middle that attaches to the tree rope.
Do you have the two ropes going up to the tree branch? Or is it like ours- single rope from tree branch that hooks to the spreader bar above the tire swing?
I've been thinking of getting rid of the spreader bar and running both ropes up to the tree branch. That way the kids could "pump" it to keep swinging motion.
Curious how that one is.
