Central Iowa
The may corn contract was trading in the 4.15 range after a known carryover of 1.8xx billion bushels. Today the Dec 15 corn contract is trading at 3.83, this with only 20 percent of the crop planted. So how much of a carryover are we pricing in an increase to 2.1,2.3,2.5 billion bushels? With current demand or a slight increase and 90 million planted acres it seems the market already has a darn good yield priced in.
