Chebanse, IL.....

The 2 part segment (2/3 of the show) re. US military satellites was interesting. I know many NAT readers, both US & foreign, have criticized the USA for military budget. There's 31 (I think they said) gps satellites that the USAF has put up that much of the world uses daily....free. Of course, same w/Glonass, I know.

I was also amazed to hear the interview w/the USAF Cdr in charge of the gps satellites on a Colorado base. Do you know how many people he has under him controlling all the gps satellites? EIGHT! One of them was a 19 yr old kid.

The cost to ready a satellite & launch it was HUGE. The Chinese decide a couple of yrs ago, against our suggestions, to shoot a missle of theirs into one of their satellites. Now the sky is a junkyard filled with over 3000 pieces of their collision. We track all 3000 pieces of their junk continuously.

Good show. I've tried to watch 60 Minutes since day 1. Much easier now w/Dish recorder.
