Repairing levy on a flood prone farm yesterday. The levy blew out and scoured the field. We was wondering if anyone has ever put a flood gate in to release pressure on the levy on big rain events. I could put it in the ditch bank about 4 to 5 ft deep. Any thoughts.? I seeded the levys with fescue today.
