Subject: Pro 700 and Omnistar HP/XP questions

Southwest Iowa
I'm running a Pro 700 in the planter tractor and have been using the Omnistar HP/XP signal for the past few years. I'm sure I've been told the answer to these questions before, but for some reason, they've slipped my mind. Just wondering if anybody could help me remember what they mean?

On the 1 screen, and I'll try to include a picture so you'll know better what I'm referring to, there is a bar labeled HP/XP convergence. After starting the tractor, this line/convergence continues to count down until the number in the middle of the bar shows 2 or 3 inches. What am I 2 or 3 inches from? Or is that the kind of repeatability I should be getting from pass to pass in the field?

Second, on a different screen, there's an option asking if I want DGPS backup? I've currently got it set to none. Is that something that I should change in case I lose signal? There is also a separate box labeled position recall. I've got that box on disabled. Should that box be switched?

Thanks for any help! I know they're some pretty brief questions, but any comments would be welcomed.
