NW Ohio | I think I found an updated version of this switch with a different connector. The original switch is $125.00 plus shipping. The updated one can be had for 1/2 the price. I can't find the specs on the original switch ( part # E7HZ13740A) Below is info on the newer switch. Both have the three wire. I'm just planning to change the connector on the wire leads on the newer switch. Does anyone see a problem doing that? Would anyone know the specs of the part number I have above to match with the newer switch? TIA

For variable intensity control of panel and interior vehicle lighting.
For 12V DC negative ground systems, 14.7V maximum.
Black plastic knob with metal insert and set screw. Knob imprinted in white with the SAE variable symbol.
Diecast case, 1 9/16" (39.7mm) diameter, 0.88" (22.4mm) long.
7/16" -28 thread mounting stem, 0.45" long.
O-ring seal.
