| I was stunned this morning when a malware thrillseeker managed to break through, until today, what I thought was one of computings better virus fighters and grab my computer by it's harddrive.
My router is on only as long as my desktop, usually no more than an hour. The 'tech' I called to get his junk off my screen convienced me to allow him access to determine the problem. I very stupidly did. Don't make that mistake, too. He tried to tell me someone else was also using my machine. No way, dude...and that was the beginning of a call to McAfee. Besides the 80 I had paid them only a month earlier, McAfee wanted 149 dollars more to eliminate and defend the machine for another year.
Anybody got any ideas
Addendum: How does malware get through up-to-date virus software unless that software is no good in the first place?
