Red River Valley | You have been on the stump on spending by governments and how the deficits can not continue which I truly don't think anybody will argue with.
I think for most he issue are more complex than you give them credit for.
1) Don't think you were posting in 2008 -2009 so this might be an unfair question but - federal deficits were about twice the level's they are today did you think that was a problem ( many did ) if you did why? and now that they have been cut in half why do you believe that they will not be cut in half again in the near future.
2) late in the Bill Clinton presidency we had a operating surplus do you think we can do that again ? If not why ?
3) If we have an Operating Surplus again will it change your thoughts of the US being a sinking ship ?
4) is their a level of debt ( not deficit ) that outright make a country insolvent ? if so what is that level
5) how do you value the future advances achieved today by borrowed money ?? | |
