| Is there a simple method to get a close protein percentage ? We have a ration that we put in a creep feeder for beef and a couple of holstein calves but I have no idea what the percentage is .
started on purina startena , then growena , and then go to the feeder . Daughter has a registered bull calf that she has raising for someone else and he is now 4 months old . Her and the owners plan is to be able to take him to shows as a yearling . Trying to figure out if we need to keep feeding him the 18% growena or if we can turn him out with the others . here is what we have in the wagon :
1200 lbs cracked corn
600 soybean hull pellets
200 DDG
per ton
I know there are several show chows available , but trying to figure out if we can do things a little easier without hurting production .
