Subject: Supply house or Amazon?

Central Nebraska

I've been doing datacom/telecom wiring off and on recently as one of my good friends is a builder and he subs a this part of the job out to me.  The supplies I've used have been sourced from a variety of places and are sometimes provided by the electrician.  I'm picky enough about the products that I use that this is sometimes frustrating and I'd like to be able to source it myself and know what I'm going to be working with.  In the past I've bought a lot off Amazon but I'm not sure this is the best way to go.  Would it be worth my time to set up an account with an electrical supply house?  Would their contractor prices be better than Amazon?  I do know they I'd get quality stuff from them.  I'm thinking Crescent or Kriz-Davis.
