Central Illinois | My wife attended a luncheon where one of the guests was a vegetarian. Someone ask the difference between a vegetarian and a vegan.
During the continuing conversation the vegetarian said vegans would not us refined, i.e. white, sugar because animal bones were used in the refining process.
Is it true that animal bones are used in refining sugar?
