Spring Grove MN | Our current BC\BS insurance is going to cost us $12,000/year with a $5300 deductible. Started looking at different options. We came across health care sharing ministries. We were skeptical at first but found some people in our area that are involved in them and are very happy. We wanted to go with Samaritan Ministries but Mike doesn't get to church often enough with hauling milk every other weekend. They require you to attend 3 times/month. We're probably going to go with Christian Healthcare Ministries. We have 2 boys ages 5 & 7. We're wondering if we have to get separate dental insurance since it's required by the ACA. We've never had dental before and it's really annoying to us that we are forced to carry it on the kids. Also does anyone know if you can use up a HSA while a member of a Ministry? If not, is there any way to transfer it into a Roth IRA or something?
