Subject: Quickbooks - Editing Class list in Microsoft Works?

South Georgia
Is there any Quikbooks experts here with any experience editing a class list in a spreadsheet program?

I just successfully exported my class list, added one class, imported the edited list, and was successful. This would make things much easier when creating the classes I need for next year, vs. creating them one at the time in Quickbooks, and getting them in the right place in the hierarchy. Anything to be especially careful of? I have backups, so in the event I toast something, I can just revert to the previous backup, right?

The columns in the export/import file are :
List type; class name; 'refnum'; timestamp, 'hidden'; and 'delcount'
I only filled in the list type, Class Name, Hidden, and delcount columns, and left the others blank. After importing to Quickbooks, I exported it and looked, and the line I added had the 'refnum' and timestamp columns filled in, which I expected.

Thanks for any words of warning or tips.

Adrian
