I bought Dec. 3.30 calls last week just to protect my crop insurance revenue. Expecting average yields here at best and below average beans if we can get them out of the mud.....................
I bought the calls for 6 cents and sold them for 49 cents in the overnight. I learned from the LDP years that revenue can disappear before us northern fringe guys can harvest so I felt it was important to cover insurance revenue the same way. BTW got half my beans out so far and my yields suck, 20 to 40 field averages compared to 50 plus in 2012! No corn done yet for me., | |
