Subject: stiles and rail, rail jig for use on router

East central Iowa

If anybody else makes stile and rail doors on the router you might have had a problem with alignment cutting the rails.

I've had trouble holding them parallel to the fence and my original holder had contact with the cutter so I needed to move it away from the fence but keep the rail against the fence.  I've tried using a miter gauge but the fence never seems to match the angle.

I saw a design that seemed to fix the problem but at a cost of $130 which seemed a little steep for the parts needed.

Below are 3 pictures of my jig, the clamps are from Harbor Freight, the base from Goodwill is a cutting board and the blue plastic is from a generous agTalk member.   Cost estimate about $15.
