Yep that is what they are calling it - a flerd. A new name for herd animals and flock animals grazing together. Purdue writes a blog every week about sheep and goats and here is one of the recent articles. Just looked through the article quick but some might find it interesting. Hope the link works, if not I will try to post it differently
