East Central Indiana | I have been trying to put up 2 finishing barns with Cooper Farms for a good while and am not having any luck.
There are several barns in my area but not a surplus. I have submitted a proposal that included a financial plan, a manure management program, proposed locations, and a current farm back ground. They have told me I would be a great fit and just what they are looking for in a grower, but at this time they are only building north of my location.
Is this their way of politely saying, I don't stand a chance of getting barns? Or should I continue to check in with them every few months.?
I have a couple other livestock options to diversify our operation but turkey's seems to be the best fit.
I'm not getting any younger and would like to start this venture as soon as possible. | |
