This is a 1943 documentary about British agriculture.
not sure many farmers had the machines shown because of the war as I always understood machinery was hard to find in Canada until after the war.
I do remember my grand father cutting a small patch of grain in a paddock with a scythe and a cradle on it. Unlike the picture shown he caught the grain ('corn' in the video) in the cradle and when he had enough he took a small bit go the grain and used it to tie the rest of the grain into a sheaf.
Not many tractors running around here until after the war but many of those shown were common in the 50ies although there were no tracked machines that I remember.
I am sure there was a lot of propaganda in that video for the war effort.
