Subject: Question about a Super M crankshaft

NC IA
Overhauling a Super M. Super M's (or at least some of them, I think there's a sn# break) had 0.050 bigger crankshaft journals than regular M's. This one had the bigger journals, and was all standard yet (hadn't been ground.)

Anyway, sent crankshaft to machine shop to get touched up, ground to 0.010/0.010. Long story short, machine shop mistakenly ground it to .010 under "old M" specs, resulting in .060 under in Super M specs. They're not admitting to their mistake, they say no big deal just put .010 under "regular M" bearings in it.

How much meat can you safely and reliably take off from one of these M cranks?

Needless to say, I'm not happy.
