Say for whatever goofy reason, you wanted to run a 12R30 strip till at 15". So you run shallow depth, around 5" or so, and run with half the units overlapped between the last pass. In dry soils that have some clay content and are pretty tight, would that 5" depth do enough damage between the rows to cause the tool bar to pull sideways? I'm thinking it would not at that shallow depth, but have not tried it. 30" spacing at only 5-6" should keep the fracture contained I would think, to a small zone around the shank. What do you think given that you have different soils? Could it even cause a sideways pull in your soils?
