Canmore Ab. Canada | After mentioning I was planning a longer ride this summer I promised to post back if I survived. Well, the ride was in Pentiction British Columbia on the 13th and I made it. No land speed records but I made it.
The Top finishers were in the 4 hour range over the 160 KM (100 miles) and I was closer to 7.5 hours but... I finished.
I was a little worried as the temperature at the start at 7 am was 25C and it rose into the low 40C range midway through the day. One advantage is you always have a breeze when you are riding. Lots of water both internally and externally help too.
