WCIN | This sprayer is a 2004 with dual displays (mobile processor for tracking) and a JD lightbar. Full Load and rained out till last Friday. Had been stirring the tank, but Friday morning the display for the spraystar went nuts for 2 seconds. Error message: System failure, info maybe lost (Something like that). I reset the Run page lines for the info I wanted and went to the field.
It took 20 minutes to spray 1/2 mile endrows. I tried everything remotely possible. Never had this problem before.
Speed indicated correct, pressure correct--(looked right from the cab)--hello......flow meter needs cleaned!!! Nope. The spray would quit and everything was on, for no reason.
Had the JD Tech out yesterday and he reset/updated some minor display conflicts, but before we went to spray in the mud, he found that the cal factor was way wrong on the flow meter. 100, instead of 918. I never questioned that---never a problem. I thought that I was having CPU problems again.
He fixes the cal factor and we go to the field and spray------all great, performs awesome.
Get to the end of the field, so he can leave, but we start talking and looking at through the monitor screens.
The computer had zero'd out the engine hours. Brand new 10yr old sprayer. It has something like 1750hrs.
Another never seen/happened before from JD.
We looked for visible signs of lightning---nothing, but that has to be the cause.
