Subject: New Kinze planter cost

A rainy day is providing a little internet time, so I thought I would throw this question out there: Has anyone purchased a new 12 row 30 inch wing fold (not stack fold) planter brand new from Kinze? If so, how much is a ballpark cost? I am thinking of upgrading from my old 7100 one of these years and Kinze looks like it is leading the way. I would not get any meters, and I have 12 brush meters and Precision corn meters already. I just want the bare bones planter with markers. Thanks in advance.

I don't know what a new 3200 costs, but I really like mine. It's bare bones and pulls like a dream. I purchased a 3600 split row thinking I would sell the 3200, but after pulling the 3600 I decided to keep them both.
The 3200 lays on terraces easily (better than the 3600) and a 100HP tractor handles it effortlessly.

There are a lot of 3200's for sale that can be had for quite a bit less than new price. Mine was like new, the previous owner wanted split row's.

If your talking mounted wing fold on the Kinze its called a model 3120. They quit making them in 2007 I think and now just make them in the 3140 stack fold 12 and 16 row.

I don't know your operation but if buying new, I would highly consider looking into a good gps system instead of markers. Markers are very expensive and make planters more complex. A gps steering system isn't exactly simple, but most are nearly trouble free, cost maybe slightly more than markers, but can be used for nearly every farm operation in the field and can help save inputs. Markers simply don't compare or compete IMO.
